The Color Trend That’s About to Be Everywhere for Spring

Last year, hot pink was the unexpected color that was absolutely everywhere. While hot pink is still sticking around in 2020, another equally bold color is emerging as the frontrunner for fashion insiders: tangerine. Yep, we’ve first spotted the sunny shade on the S/S 20 runways in the collection of designers like Jacquemus and Bottega Veneta, but now it has officially made its way into the wardrobes of celebrities and the fashion set.

Early adopters like Rosie Huntington-Whiteley has already been spotted wearing an orange faux leather dress from Nanushka, while Hailey Bieber was snapped in a pair of bold sneakers from the latest Adidas Originals x Ivy Park drop. It’s also a favorite on the street style—Moda Operandi’s fashion and buying director, Lisa Aiken, has been quick to work the shade into her wardrobe.

While tangerine is getting plenty of play right now, it will continue to be an important color long into 2020 in every fashion category, from dresses to shoes to swimwear. Ahead, shop my edit of the best orange fashion pieces to add to your wardrobe.
